🎥 Third-Party Content Accessibility
The accessibility of certain pages on this site depends on content that does not belong to Get Back Up CIC, and instead belongs to third-party providers such as YouTube.
The following pages are affected by this:
-
www.getbackupcic.com/start-living-now (contains embedded YouTube videos)
-
www.getbackupcic.com/videos (if applicable)
These third-party elements may not fully comply with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards (e.g. missing captions, limited keyboard navigation, or lack of screen reader support). Therefore, we declare partial compliance with accessibility standards for these specific pages.
We are actively reviewing video content and where possible will:
-
Choose videos with closed captions or transcripts
-
Clearly label video controls
-
Provide brief descriptions for the visually impaired
🏢 Physical Accessibility at
Get Back Up CIC Sessions
Get Back Up CIC does not currently operate from a fixed office or permanent physical premises. Our programmes and group sessions take place in various community venues across Glasgow, including partner organisations such as The Simon Community, local kitchens, and public meeting spaces.
We aim to ensure all locations used for our services are accessible to people with disabilities, and we work with each venue to confirm the following:
-
Wheelchair access is available at most venues, including ramps or step-free entrances.
-
Accessible toilets are available on-site at the majority of session locations.
-
Where relevant, venues are situated near public transport links and street parking.
-
Chairs with and without arms are typically available, and seating is arranged to allow for space and mobility aids.
-
Assistance dogs are welcome at all sessions.
-
If audio induction loops or elevators are available in a given venue, this will be noted in advance.
We understand that each participant’s needs are unique. If you have specific accessibility requirements or questions about a particular session or venue, please contact us ahead of time so we can do our best to accommodate:
